Digital Dreamers' Chromebooks, Parent Conference Night, End of Extended Day

Greetings Stephenson Middle School Parents,

Progress reports were distributed on Monday, November 27th. If you have concerns about your child's academic progress, you can schedule a conference to meet with teachers on Tuesday, December 5th from 4:30PM - 6:30PM. We are implementing a new, innovative way for parents to schedule conferences. We are using PTCFast.com to make signing up for a conference more convenient. Please sign up for a conference today using the link https://ptcfast.com/schools/Stephenson_Middle_School. If you do not have internet access, please send a note to your child's teacher with requested times.

Have you heard about the Digital Dreamers program? Every student at Stephenson Middle is eligible to receive a district-issued Chromebook to be used for instructional purposes. We only ask that parents pay a small fee of $20 which covers any malfunction, defect, damages, and theft of the device. Letters were distributed earlier this week. Follow the steps to enroll for coverage today at http://www.myschoolipadportal.com/. Enter stephensonms as the username and dekalb as the password. The deadline for all online payments is December 7th. Students are scheduled to receive their devices on Thursday, December 14th from 8AM - 7PM. Only students who pay for the insurance will be issued a Chromebook. If you do not want to make your payment online, students can pay at the school. Please see Ms. Dawson, our media specialist, with a completed enrollment form and payment. We are ready to take our Jaguar Scholars to a higher level with digital learning!

Lastly, the extended school day schedule will end on Thursday, November 30th. We will return back to our original dismissal time of 3:45PM starting Friday, December 1st. Thanks for all that you do to keep Stephenson Strong!
